The Schmetz microtex 80/12 and quilting needles are designed to be used for quilting and piecing. They are made using quality high carbon steel wire mixed with nickel. This makes them remarkably strong, and hard to break. They will also not corrode or rust for a very long time.
Compatible with:
These sewing machine needles use the 130/705 H system, which is compatible with most home sewing machines, including Brother, Baby Lock, Bernette, Bernina, Elna, EuroPro, Husqvarna/Viking, Janome, Juki, Kenmore, Necchi, New Home, Pfaff, Simplicity, Singer, and White.
Shank:
The Schmetz sewing machine needles come with flat shanks, which make them fit more easily into your machine, ensuring the perfect stitch every time. This reduces the risk of breakage while also giving you an easier time as you replace or try to fit them into your machine for the first time.
Tip:
Quilting machine needles: They have slightly rounded points that are designed for quilting. The point is also tapered, which makes it ideal for penetrating through layers of fabric
Microtex 80/12: The sharp point is great for creating beautiful topstitching, edge stitching, and perfectly formed straight stitches for quilt piecing on medium-sized fabric.
